Kim Bum signs with Pony Canyon

Actor Kim Bum has signed an exclusive contract with one of Japan’s premier agencies, Pony Canyon, for his Japanese advancement.

Pony Canyon is under Fuji Sankei Communications and houses top stars like w-inds., Aiko, Aya Ueto, and many others. Korean stars under the agency include Ahn Jae Wook, SS501, and Kim Jung Hoon.

Representatives stated, “Through 2009’s ‘Boys Over Flowers‘, he earned popularity not only in Japan, but all over Asia. He has a fashion sense that’s on par with any model, and has infinite potential as an actor. He’s also able to play the guitar, piano, and other instruments, and is an all-around entertainer.”

They continued, “By contracting with us, we hope to actively support his career as an entertainer in Japan and are anticipating his future as one of the rising Hallyu artists of this generation.”

Kim Bum’s official Facebook page records over 2.59 million ‘Likes’

Actor Kim Bum has shown off his power as a Hallyu star by recording over 2,590,000 Facebook likes in just under 10 days!

According to Kim Bum’s agency, he set up his official Facebook page on April 17th, and as of the 27th, he currently has 2.59 million likes. ”Fans from over 20 different countries including Indonesia, the U.S., Singapore, Mexico, France, and others have come together,” his agency stated.

They continued, “Social network ranking site, Fame Count, currently has him ranked in the top five alongside Lee Min Ho and Ashton Kutcher. Because it hasn’t been that long since Kim Bum’s Facebook officially opened, it isn’t an official ranking on Fame Count as of yet.”

“Kim Bum’s extremely surprised over the influx of Facebook friends. We feel that it’s because he’s broadened his worth as a Hallyu star through not only his drama activities, but Asian fan tours and fan meetings, and consistent communication with his international fans.”

Through his Facebook, Kim Bum wrote, “I made an official Facebook page to hopefully get closer with my fans all over the world. I’ll make sure to update frequently with fun sides of me and quick news.”

Kim Bum lends his charms for Biotherm Homme’s ‘T-Pur'

Kim Bum recently showed off his charms as the endorsement model for Biotherm Homme’s latest product, “T-Pur“.

Known for his pretty boy looks and milky-white skin, he played up his ‘dandy guy’ image for his photoshoot with Biotherm.

A representative commented, “He’s the epitome of ‘flower boy’ but recently underwent a subtle change that makes him look more masculine. He’s now become a man that men in their 20s want to resemble. The public already knew that he was an avid fan of this product, which instilled a sense of trust for our T-Pur’s abilities.”

Kim Beom, Kim Hyun Joong and FC Men to participate in this year’s “2011 Peace Star Cup Celebrity Soccer Championship”

‘FC Men‘, a celebrity soccer/charity team led by JYJ’s Junsu, will be holding a friendly match against three rival celebrity teams in the “2011 Peace Star Cup Celebrity Soccer Championship.”

FC Men is comprised of JYJ’s Yoochun and Jaejoong, SS501’s Kim Hyun Joong, B2ST’s Doojoon andKikwang, 2AM’s Changmin, Shinhwa’s Minwoo, Kim Jun Ho(Junsu’s brother), Song Joong Ki, Kim Bum, Im Ju Hwan, Park Gun Hyung, Park Sung Gwang and many others. Soccer player Jung Sung Ryong is the coach/director, and Park Ji Sun is the manager.

FC Men will be going up against Super Stars (led by actor Jung Jun Ho), FC Libero(led by gagman Seo Kyung Suk), and FC Miracle (led by gagman Kim Yong Man).

Junsu wrote a message, that reads:

“Hello, this is the leader of the celebrity soccer team, FC Men. We are now in the fifth year of the Peace Starcup. Because we are a team that hasn’t been in existence for that long, and although we are lacking still, I don’t believe that our love for soccer is behind against any of the other teams.

We’re all excited to be able to participate in the Peace Starcup, and because it is a competition started with good intentions, I feel that I can partake in it with a happy heart.

I still can’t fall asleep at the thought of playing soccer against all of the seniors that I respect. I hope that nobody gets hurt, and that we all enjoy the competition.
