Kim Bum appears back on the screen as Jung Woo Sung’s best friend in new TV series Bbadam Bbadam

Actor Kim Bum is to come back on the screen in Entertainment cable channel jTBC’s Bbadam Bbadam.

Kim Bum hah finished filming MBC TV series The Woman Who Still Wants to Marry on 2010 May, so it has been nearly a year and half since his last appearance on the screen. This year, he finally makes his reappearance and puts his fans in anticipation.

“Bbadam Bbadam” is a French expression for heartbeat, and its filming is being directed by Kim Kyu Tae and written by No Hee Kyung. It tells a love story between Yang Kang Cheol (Jung Woo Sung) an ex-prisoner who was incarcerated because of his friend’s conspiracy, and cheerful veterinarian Jung Ji Na (Han Ji Min). They meet by chance and fall in love.

Kim Bum plays the role of Lee Guk Soo, a close friend of Jung Woo Sung. They get to meet in the prison. Lee Guk Soo is a peculiar character who believes in himself to be an angel born human, and acts as Jung Woo Sung’s guardian angel.

Kim Bum said, “Bbadam Bbadam is being directed by Kim Kyu Tae, whom I personally like and respect, and I instantly fell in love with the story when I read the script. Thanks to having a great director, a thrilling story, interesting characters, and awesome co-actors and actresses, I am very much looking forward to start filming. Since my fans are out there having waited so long for my reappearance on the screen, I am going to do my best in making this story a story that will bring many joy and laughter to families who watch us.”

Meanwhile, Entertainment cable channel jTBC’s Bbadam Bbadam is on schedule to begin rehearsing on the start of September, and to air on the start of December.

On an episode of KBS’s “Entertainment Relay” that aired earlier today, actor Jung Il Woo, whoappeared as a guest on the show on June 9th, discussed his close friendship with fellow actors Lee Min Ho and Kim Bum.

The reporter asked, “We heard that you, Lee Min Ho, and Kim Bum are all close with each other. When the three of you meet up, what do you guys usually do?” Jung Il Woo responded, “Since Lee Min Ho and I don’t drink, we go out to eat, drink coffee, and chat. We hang out at home too.”

When asked whether he felt any rivalry between him and Lee Min Ho, he answered, “I don’t pay any mind to that stuff. If a friend is working hard and doing well, it triggers emotions, but nothing like jealousy or envy. We really just support each other.”

The reporter persisted, “If you found yourself in a love triangle with Lee Min Ho, what would you do?” Lee Min Ho sensibly replied, “I would just talk it out with him.”

Actor Kim Bum has shown off his power as a Hallyu star by recording over 2,590,000 Facebook likes in just under 10 days!

According to Kim Bum’s agency, he set up his official Facebook page on April 17th, and as of the 27th, he currently has 2.59 million likes. ”Fans from over 20 different countries including Indonesia, the U.S., Singapore, Mexico, France, and others have come together,” his agency stated.

‘FC Men‘, a celebrity soccer/charity team led by JYJ’s Junsu, will be holding a friendly match against three rival celebrity teams in the “2011 Peace Star Cup Celebrity Soccer Championship.”

FC Men is comprised of JYJ’s Yoochun and Jaejoong, SS501’s Kim Hyun Joong, B2ST’s Doojoon andKikwang, 2AM’s Changmin, Shinhwa’s Minwoo, Kim Jun Ho(Junsu’s brother), Song Joong Ki, Kim Bum, Im Ju Hwan, Park Gun Hyung, Park Sung Gwang and many others. Soccer player Jung Sung Ryong is the coach/director, and Park Ji Sun is the manager.

A-list star and veteran actor Choi Min-soo (Road No.1, Father’s House) has officially signed on to upcoming manhwa-sageuk drama adaptation Honorable Baek Dong-soo, and meanwhile top contender for the leading role, Kim Bum (The Woman Who Still Wants to Marry), is growing what suspiciously appears to be… is that… could it be… a MANE OF GLORY?

I think it is! Now WHYever would you be growing sageuk hair, Bummie? For fun? To make the noonas drool? Not that said goal isn’t an admirable one, to be sure. No complaints here. Not even if you grow Jang Geun-seok-hair. But perhaps your buddy Jung Il-woo‘s a better hair role model for you. Am TRYING not to picture the two of them sitting around, braiding each other’s hair … … … damnit. Too late. There goes my day.

Last week there were premature reports that Kim was nearly a done deal for the title role of Baek Dong-soo, only to have them be replaced with statements that he was simply “considering the role.” Now it looks like a few pieces of that initial story are being confirmed: for one, he’s growin’ the locks, and two, he seems to be workin’ out.

Well that’s what the story says, which I’ll just have to take their word for, until someone furnishes me with proof, say of the shirtless variety. If he really is spending time at the action school, (for martial arts training, not just for vanity’s sake) then I’d say it’s time to double down on him playing manhwa hero Baek Dong-soo. Either that or there’s some other Joseon-era sword-wielding rebel up for grabs.

At the helm are two PDs: Lee Hyun-jik (OB-GYN, Tazza), and Lee Myung-woo (Ja Myung-go). Casting is still in progress, and so far child actor Nam Ji-hyun (Giant), now sixteen, has also signed on.

It kind of makes me giggle to think of Kim Bum trying to be manly and heroic…standing next to Choi Min-soo (pffft) but maybe the veteran leading man will teach the up-and-comer a thing or two about being a hero?

From 2PM’s recent campaign song Boom Boom Boom, to this upcoming drama Haru, it looks like all of Korea’s stars are participating in promoting the year of visiting Korea. Hallyu stars Yunho, Kim Bum, Big Bang, Han Chae Young, Park Shi Hoo, and Lee Da Hae have gathered for the Omnibus drama Haru (Day) produced by the Korean National Tourism Organization.

This drama has been produced in honor of 2010 being the year of visiting Korea. The meeting between the drama’s all-star cast and staff has drawn much attention to the drama. In Haru, Yunho is an action star in a play, Kim Bum is a photographer, Lee Da Hae is a screenwriter, Han Chae Young and Park Shi Hoo play the couple in Lee Da Hae’s scenario, and Big Bang is a group that finds a school that is being shut down, and holds a mini-concert for th students.

The first round of filming has taken place at Busan Station, GwangAn Bridge, Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi-do, Haerang Train, and Hangang. This drama will portray Korea’s beauty through it’s new convention, beautiful cinematography, and captivating soundtrack.

There is no doubt that this special drama is going to be a hit in Asia.

Yunho has already entered the Asian market through his activities with TVXQ, Kim Bum has attained Hallyu stardom through Boys Over Flowers, Big Bang has been sensational with their album releases in Japan, Han Chae Young has been getting ready for her Hollywood debut, and Lee Da Hae played the heroine of popular drama Chuno.

BOF Alumni Event In Tokyo

On the 21st of August at Tokyo International Forum, the Korean version of "Boys over Flowers" Alumni Event was held. Casts Goo Hye Sun, Kim Hyun Joong, Kim Jun and Kim Bum attended. Lee MinHo had some personal schedule so he couldn't participate. On the official site of "Boys over Flowers", comments and videos were left respectively after the casts were decided for attendance.

There was a "Boys over Flowers - Graduation Event" in April where many fans came together with the casts to express separation. In just 4 months, this alumni event was decided for hold, looking back, this event seemed to be the common place where fans are waiting for to come together again for reunion. A total of 14,000 and counting fans were present at these 4 sessions held respectively at Osaka and Tokyo with 2 showtimes per day.

Kim Hyun Joong didn't. When asked how many times he's been in a relationship (how many times he's loved), he answered honestly with a handsign of 'FIVE' (5), laughing to a marvelous number with that,which caused a little stir amongst crowd that day.

During the singing part, Goo Hyesun sung her self-composed song "Brown colored hair", T-max where Kim Jun is part of appeared on stage and sung to their songs.
